Together they are coming up with a groundbreaking solution. The 3D printing of circular furniture with waste residues that are 100% reusable as raw materials. And when the furniture reaches the end of its life then the raw materials used in the furniture are reused to make other furniture. This prevents waste of raw materials and significantly reduces CO2 emissions. Both organization are ambitious and want to turn worldwide fast furniture into NeverEnding Furniture.    

This year, the first furniture families will be launched on the European market. The families include tables, planters, lamps, roomdeviders and sofas in a variety of high-profile shapes and sizes. With advanced 3D printing technology, 5 waste streams, prepared for extrusion from 100% recyclate, are used to make the circular furniture. The ingredients are recycled polypropylene, PET, rPet carbon, hemp, paper and cardboard. In addition, it is even possible to have custom furniture made from its own waste.      

Golden times are dawning for the customers and future customers of both organizations. NeverEnding Furniture can be returned at the end of its useful life. The value of the raw material is paid back to the person who invested in the sustainable furniture. Per kilogram of furniture, the customer receives 5 euros in return. In addition, the costs normally paid for processing the waste disappear. This cuts both ways. The customer is positively rewarded for using and caring for the reusable raw materials in her office, school or store furnishings. Because the furniture is now worth money, it is no longer simply thrown away and the raw materials are no longer lost as furniture is reprinted from it.

In addition to recycling raw materials, TRIBOO and Colossus have the ambition to start preventing the CO2 emissions caused by transporting furniture over long distances in Europe. In every European member state, they want to build advanced decentralized production ecosystems so that furniture can be printed locally. As a result, only short distances need to be driven to the customer, minimizing CO2 emissions. The first production facilities are already up and running in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Slovakia.
