HIGH-PROFILE MEETINGS AT CIRCULAR TABLES MADE OF WASTE

At first glance, you would not know that this high-profile meeting table is made of waste, and that is exactly the intention.

Often, valuable raw materials end up on rubbish tips or in incinerators where they are lost forever. Billions of tonnes of plastic have been produced in recent decades, much of which has become waste. As much as 91% of plastic is not recycled, simply because there is no market for it.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could turn all the valuable raw materials that end up in the waste into high-profile circular meeting tables that stop the waste of raw materials, reduce CO2 and store the valuable materials in our furniture?

I CHANGED 72 KILOS OF SOAP BOTTLES, BUCKETS AND TOYS INTO 1 CIRCULAR MEETING TABLE

At first glance, you would not know that this high-profile meeting table is made of waste, and that is exactly the intention. 72 kilos of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) are needed to make one circular meeting table in a dimension of 2750x1250mm. The basis for this table is man-made fibres from buckets, crates, bottles, barrels, toys and parts from cars and computers.

MADE TO LAST AND THEN IT TURNS INTO SOMETHING ELSE

With its challenging design, timeless look and robust construction, this table will last a very long time. It was made for long and intensive use. But if it is no longer needed because you want something else, just hand it in. You get the raw material value of TRIBOO back and we turn it into another circular product.

TABLE MADE IN THE NETHERLANDS WITH DUTCH CRAFTSMEN

The table was made in the Netherlands by Dutch craftsmen who worked with a great deal of love to give the table a beautiful appearance. Something we are very proud of. Because the tables are made in our own country, we preserve craftsmanship and provide employment. In addition, the kilometres made are minimal and that saves CO2. A win-win situation, in other words.

WHAT IS HDPE?

HDPE plastic is a safe material with excellent recyclability. The material consists of carbon and hydrogen. It is a thermoplastic polymer with particularly good properties. Thermoplastics are plastic materials that soften when heated. HDPE is 100% recyclable and thus eminently suitable for reuse and recycling. HDPE is resistant to acids, alkalis, alcohol, water, salt solutions and oil.

- HDPE is manufactured at low pressure, about 200 MPa (2000 bar).

- HDPE melting point is around 125 degrees Celsius

- The tensile strength is approximately 22MPa / 2200 psi

- The density of HDPE is 0.95 g/cm3

WHAT IS HDPE USED FOR?

HDPE plastic is a stiff, strong and opaque water-repellent plastic that is used mainly as a container for soft drinks and shampoo, for example. It is also used in products that have to last a long time. Such as toys or car parts. But HDPE is not only used as a hard material. HDPE plastic is also used, for example, to make bin liners or plastic bags.

BY CHOOSING A CIRCULAR MEETING TABLE, YOU SET THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY IN MOTION AND WASTE WILL NO LONGER END UP IN LANDFILL OR IN AN INCINERATOR

With every meeting table you furnish at home or in the office, you contribute to reducing the use of materials, to reducing waste and to reducing CO2. In addition, your purchase stimulates the local economy because the products are made in the Netherlands.

TOGETHER WE MAKE THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY AND WASTE-FREE SOCIETY VISIBLE IN THE INTERIOR
