OFFICE SUSTAINABLE DEKKER CIRCULARLY DESIGNED WITH 1,533 KG LESS MATERIAL AND 60% LESS CO2

The interior is practical without being ostentatious, but with beautiful materials, spacious workplaces and an industrial look.

Dekker Zevenhuizen is a real family business and continuity is its main goal. Socially responsible entrepreneurship is a matter of course. Not focused on short term profits and gains, but wanting to meet today's demand without jeopardizing the need for future generations.

Dekker is a family business established in Zevenhuizen since 1930. It is highly specialised in the processing of high-quality materials into custom-made worktops for the entire interior. You can recognise the worktops by their exclusive colours and tight finish. In addition, they offer a wide range of equally innovative and reliable kitchen and sanitary products such as sinks, taps and lighting.

DESIGNING THE CIRCULAR OFFICE TOGETHER WITH TRIBOO WHICH FITS THE IDENTITY OF DEKKER

The interior is practical without being ostentatious, but with beautiful materials, spacious workplaces and an industrial look. We like to play with materials and make new combinations. You can see that in the floor, which is a playful mix of soft and hard materials, the printer's tables with plants, but also the display of taps that is not only functional but also functions as a plant rack. An important part of the atmosphere are large photos that are part of their own trend reports. The glass walls in the middle of the room are not closed off but provide some sound control and bring the large room more into proportion, creating a sense of security without losing daylight. Keywords for the design are concrete look, steel, glass, warm wood, accent colours rust brown/red and plants at different height levels.

DEKKER OPTS FOR LESS MATERIAL AND LESS CO2 WITH THE 100% NL WORKPLACE

As a Dutch manufacturer, Dekker deliberately chose the 100% NL workplace by TRIBOO. A workplace in which the height adjustable frame, the #greengridz work surface and the acoustic EverUse desk screen are produced in the Netherlands. Not only is this good for employment, but the number of kilometres travelled to the customer is minimal and that saves CO2.

1,533 KG OF MATERIAL AND 60% CO2 SAVED ON 73 OFFICES

A total of 73 workstations have been created, using 1,533 kg less material and emitting 60% less CO2 than traditional solid desktops. Through the use of EverUse material in the 18 acoustic desk screens, the cellulose fibres are stored as biomass in the structure of the desk screen. For every kilo of EverUse, 3.7 kilos of CO2 are stored. If we correct for production and logistics in the chain, EverUse has a negative CO2 footprint of -1 kg CO2/kg product. In total this means -144 kg CO2/kg product. This means that the workplace contributes substantially to the reduction and storage of CO2.

TWO LEADING DUTCH COMPANIES MAKE THE DIFFERENCE TOGETHER

DEKKER AND TRIBOO join forces as two leading Dutch companies in reducing materials, reducing CO2 and using fibres from waste streams. In this way, they always produce close to their customers, create jobs and preserve craftsmanship and innovation for the Dutch manufacturing industry.
