Iron Mountain opts for circular wall system and healthy acoustic ceiling islands

Early this year, ESJ Workx and TRIBOO joined forces to accelerate the circular transition in the built environment. The first joint project this year was the installation of a circular and modular wall system and ceiling islands in the renovation of an Iron Mountain office.

ESJ WORKX IS A GAME-CHANGER IN THE FIELD OF OFFICE AND PROPERTY RENOVATION.

Harro van der Leeden is one of the driving forces behind ESJ Workx. Thinking differently is in his blood, not choosing for paved paths but looking for challenges. He grew up in an entrepreneurial family in the construction industry, where he experienced at an early age that being an entrepreneur is hard work, but above all, it gives freedom. Freedom to do things differently and to direct activities that excite him. For Harro, that means creating the buildings of the future with a fixed group of passionate professionals. Buildings in which healthy and circular materials are used in smart, fast building systems and waste is minimised.

TRIBOO TURNS OFFICES INTO VALUABLE RESOURCE BANKS

Rosanne Bouw is circular project manager at TRIBOO . She ensures that raw materials never go to waste again. She combines circular building knowledge with decisiveness. This way, the right circular products are applied in the healthy projects of ESJ Workx.

CO2 FOOTPRINT OF OFFICE AND BUILDING IRON REDUCED AND RAW MATERIALS SAVED.

In the Iron Mountain project, the wall system and ceiling islands contribute to reducing the CO2 footprint of the office and the building. The EverUse circular insulation alone, which is incorporated in both the walls and the ceiling islands, extracts and stores 1 kg of CO2 per kg of material. All products are made of healthy materials, so they are good for the well-being of the user and the builder. All materials are also made from waste and are completely bio-based.

SMART FAST CONNECTIONS ENSURE DETACHABLE CONSTRUCTIONS

The smart connections in the circular products are designed to be detachable. This is essential for the return logistics when the products are no longer needed functionally or aesthetically. At the end of their useful life, all parts and materials are reusable and the user receives the current raw material value back. If the value of the raw materials increases, the value of the building increases as well.

SETTING REVOLUTIONARY INNOVATIONS IN MOTION TOGETHER

ESJ Workx and TRIBOO together set revolutionary innovations in motion by mapping out the circular opportunities of a project together with the client at an early stage in the process. Only in this way is it possible to make a circular change successful and technically and financially feasible.
