RIBW pioneers with circular design in care

Within the RIBW 500 care professionals are ready to serve the clients. But they never do this alone. Often, specialists from other organisations are also involved.

THE STORY OF RIBW

Within the RIBW 500 care professionals are ready to serve the clients. But they never do this alone. Often specialists from other organisations are also involved. The RIBW believes in the power of all these care professionals. That is why it facilitates them optimally with this innovative neighbourhood work concept. Because when you bring 'care people' together, they take care of themselves. They know exactly what is needed and are driven to provide optimum support to vulnerable neighbourhood residents. That is the central idea behind this innovative concept.

INNOVATIVE CIRCULAR CONCEPT

RIBW Brabant chose to develop the concept together with circular furnisher TRIBOO. Thanks to TRIBOO's circular supply chain, all the furnishings in the district work concept were made from waste and will be taken back at the end of their useful lives.

There are chairs made from old refrigerators, tables pressed from skylights and lamps made from old CDs (1050 kg). All fixed furnishings, such as the kitchen and the seats, are made of plates of old juice and milk cartons (1500 kg). In total, more than 2500 kilos have been upcycled into a high-profile interior.

The changes in healthcare mean that innovations such as the district work concept are needed. Not only to facilitate better care, but also to keep it flexible and affordable. At t' Sand, therefore, a circular concept has been chosen. In this circular concept, raw materials are reused forever.

So nothing is ever thrown away again. RIBW uses the TRIBOO value-added model, which returns the raw material value at the end of the useful life. Thanks to this concept, RIBW gets value back at the end of its useful life and its furnishings can change flexibly in line with requirements.
