CARB2

#GREENGRIDZ complies with the standards of the California Air Resources Board (CARB). The emission of formaldehyde is therefore less than 0.08 ppm.

WHAT IS CARB?

CARB is an abbreviation for the California Air Resources Board. This body regulates air quality and conducts research into causes and solutions for air pollution. Phase II of CARB's Airborne Toxic Control Measure (ATCM) became effective in California in 2010. The rule limits formaldehyde emissions from hardwood plywood (HWPW), medium density fibreboard (MDF) and particleboard (PB), as well as household and other finished goods containing these products, manufactured or sold in California.

Under CARB 2, the limits for formaldehyde emissions are:

HWPW: .05ppm (parts per million)

PB: 0.09 ppm

MDF: 0.11 ppm
