SDG12

#GREENGRIDZ IS A PRACTICAL SOLUTION THAT GIVES SUBSTANCE TO SDG12 PRODUCE MORE WITH LESS MATERIAL AND CO2

The SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) are seventeen goals to make the world a better place in 2030. The SDGs were agreed by the countries affiliated with the United Nations (UN), including the Netherlands. The goals were established based on global input from organisations and individuals. The Sustainable Development Goals started in 2015 and run until 2030. They are a global compass for challenges such as poverty, education and the climate crisis.

SDG 12 ENSURE SUSTAINABLE CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION PATTERNS

The production of our goods must be much more convenient in view of the growing world population: 'producing more with less'. Every day, desks are still being equipped with heavy solid tops made of chipboard. On average, these desktops, measuring 1600x800mm and 20mm thick, weigh around 25 kilograms. With #GREENGRIDZ desktop, the same sheet with better properties weighs only 7 kg. That's a difference of 18 kg of material per sheet that no longer needs to be used. The material is simply not needed anymore to make a strong lightweight furniture construction. It doesn't get more circular and sustainable than that.

60% LESS MATERIAL = 60% LESS WEIGHT

The weight of solid furniture panels is heavy. Compared to #GREENGRIDZ this makes a difference of approximately 60%. The weight per m2 of a 38 mm furniture panel is approximately 18 kg for plywood, 25 kg for chipboard and 8 kg for #GREENGRIDZ. The #GREENGRIDZ furniture panel is available from 20 mm to 400 mm. As the panel gets thicker, the weight benefits increase significantly and the material requirement decreases exponentially.

The weight of solid furniture panels is heavy. Compared to #GREENGRIDZ this is about 60%. The weight per m3 is on average 650 kg for chipboard, 800 kg for plywood and 250 kg for #GREENGRIDZ.
